Following months of vote counting, research and analysis Gunter Attorneys was named a winner in the 2015 African Corporate Excellence Awards and received the award for “Best IP Law Boutique Firm – Gauteng (South Africa)”. Gunter Attorneys received the Lawyers Worldwide Awards 2015 for “Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year – South Africa”. The 2015 Lawyers Worldwide Awards recognize a select number of leading professional firms across the globe for their individual areas of specialization, and particularly salute the firms and individuals that have performed to exceptional levels during one of the most difficult economic periods that the global economy has experienced for decades. In October 2015 Gunter Attorneys received the Acquisition International Legal Award for the “Best IP Boutique Firm in South Africa 2015″. During a period of 6 weeks AI invited over 630,000 legal professionals and all 108,000 readers of Acquisition International to cast their votes and nominate individuals and firms that they considered worthy of this award. After voting closed, a dedicated research team compiled case studies in respect of all nominees, after which all case studies were reviewed by AI’s judging panel, who were responsible for deciding on the winners. This prestigious award officially recognises Gunter Attorneys as one of the most outstanding performers in the IP legal services sector.
